Since the late Middle Ages, Karma Borgo di Colleoli has had many lives. First as a castle then, during the flowering of the Renaissance, a villa for Tuscany’s aristocracy. In 2003, the entire property was painstakingly restored by Palummo & Pierotti Architects under the guidance of the Italian Fine Arts Commission. The sprawling historical villa – the Karma Borgo di Colleoli Palace – offers 12 luxury suites which revel in the heritage of the building.

Fantastic Place

This resort is amazing so full of history, the scenery was spectacular and the grounds are amazing. Its a bit isolated so would recommend a car to hire if your game to tackle the roads and other traffic, we walked to Paliao which took about 30 mins was a nice walk and the town lovely. If your happy to just relax and unwind this is the perfect place to stay at.

What an awesome resort this is! It has everything you could possibly want here, luxury apartments, lovely old buildings renovated to a very high standard, two swimming pools, a great restaurant serving lovely Tuscan food. And all this set in the glorious Tuscany countryside with access to The historical cities of Pisa, Florence, Lucca, San Gimignano to name but a few! Get here if you possibly can!

Karma Borgo di Colleoli is located in the heart of Tuscany, Italy. Welcome to the cradle of the Renaissance where, in the capital of Florence, Davinci, Michelangelo, and their contemporaries created their masterworks, and where Byron once walked the road to Pisa, penning stanzas under a Tuscan sun. Tuscan cypress trees accent dusky green hills, cut through with country byways and low stone walls. Hillside vineyards grow Sangiovese and Vernaccia in a region which has produced wine continually since the 8th century BC. Terracotta-hued villages fan out from gothic-era churches, and down their shaded laneways, a hungry traveller may find many an osteria or ristorante serving flavourful regional specialities. In the afternoon, the breeze carries the tang of the sea.
